Coupling of Finite Element Method and Peridynamics to Simulate Ship-Ice Interaction

چکیده

In this work, the finite element method (PD-FEM) coupling strategy is used to simulate ship-ice interaction. Two numerical benchmark tests are selected validate approach and its program. During ice-breaking process simulation, generation propagation of radial circular cracks in level ice modeled phenomena such as shedding wedge ice, flipping brash cleaning channel observed be broadly consistent with experimental observation. The influence ship speed thickness on load investigated analyzed. obtained from simulations general agreement that given by Lindqvist’s empirical formula. boundary effect crack path can also avoid current method.
